Wedding in Het Rijk van de Keizer

1/8/2015

Joris and Hannah were looking for photos of previous weddings from the same venue they booked. One of those weddings that came up was one of my most published sets from my portfolio. So it happened that Hannah and Joris found me so easily even though we live almost 900 km apart.

The wedding venue was the Het Rijk van de Keizer. My favorite venue so far. It has a unique character, natural meadows, good cuisine, and a variety of locations for great pictures. Because of all of that, every wedding can be unique and different. Only one thing  is always the same – the wedding commissioner Josina, who is, the best wedding commissioner I’ve met. I had an opportunity to work with her for the third time in Amsterdam and she is entertaining and her ceremonies have a nice, personal touch.

Hannah and Joris met for the first time in the middle of Hanoi, Vietnam. That day was full of romance and so was their wedding. Bohemian style with a beautiful smell of lavender all around. They chose lavender as a flower of the event because Hannah’s mom lives in Provance, for which lavender is so typical. They also planned the whole wedding by themselves and I was surprised how everything went so smoothly and precisely as if by a script. I was enjoyed every single minute of their big day. Especially the speeches were a great highlight of the event.

The band of choice provided amazing entertainment with classic 90’s hits that made everyone dance. The spirit of the wedding was just so laid back and fun and because for which I will remember it for a long time.

Thank you Hannah and Joris that you invited me to be part of your day.
