This elopement post belongs to my friend and her newborn baby daughter, whom we welcomed to this world on Saturday, 28th of January.
Jitka and I were classmates since elementary school and our friendship lasts for almost 20 years now. The length of our friendship brought us both good and bad days. They were times we were close to each other and they were times we had girly-fights together when we were around 13-14. But we grew up in the same district, shared first life’s excitements and disappointments. There is basically nobody else in my life that I’ve been friends with for that long. Therefore, this is going to be, again, very personal post.
When Jitka met Honza I knew she is going to marry him one day; it was a true love. The day arrived a few years later when they were expecting their first baby. The wedding was very small and intimate. No guests, just me as their photographer and maid of honor, Honza’s best man and Jitka’s older daughter Miriam. She was my little assistant all day by the way!
They eloped in a deer-park in Drmaly in the north of Czech Republic. Next to mountain water spring, in between falling leaves. The date they chose was at end of October and although it was a bit chilly, it was perfect to express the beauty of autumn. The wedding consisted just of the personal ceremony performed by a female priest Hana Pfannova. After the ceremony, we sat together to enjoy a very tasty food offered at Drmalská Myslivna.
I wish the new parents all the best with their newborn daughter.
